Little Nina

Dear Elijah,
You guys won!  You, Mommy, and Papa talked me in to getting a baby kitten.   We an 8 week Siamese kitten which we named Nina.   She is so adorable !!

Daycare - Preschool

Dear Elijah,
We are in the process of interviewing daycare/preschools for you.   Once Mommy goes to Navy Bootcamp, you are going to be going to SCHOOL.   How exciting !

The first daycare we looked at you fell in love with the big fish tank and you didn't want to leave.   That's a good sign, but we have many more to check out before we make a decision.

We found the perfect daycare for you @ Baby Loo Daycare.   We are so excited because you will also be spending time with Layla who is the granddaughter of Nonna's friend Cyndi. You are going to have so much fun !!  

Master-At-Arms

Dear Elijah,

Today was a very important day in your Mommy's life.   She accepted a job with the United States Navy as a "Master-At-Arms" (Military Police) Reservist.   She will leave for Boot Camp on January 18th, 2011.  

We are so proud of all she has accomplished to date.   She is really trying to make a better life for both of you.    Just think... Your Mommy will be a Police Officer.

Soon, we will have two Navy Sailors in our family 

Labor Day Holiday - 2010

Dear Elijah,

After such a busy day at the birthday party yesterday, we all decided to take a more relaxing approach to our day.   By the way, today is Labor Day and both Nonna and Papa have the day off work.  

Papa was busy working on his hot rods and spending some time with, Tobor,  since  he was in town.  Since they were busy:  you,  Mommy, and I went over to Grandpa Scott's house to use his pool.  Grandpa Scott was out of town so we had his pool all to ourselves.

The weather was perfect, but the pool water temperature was frightfully cold and took away from some of our fun. Needless to say we didn't stay very long; Nonna was still able to capture a few pictures before we left.

Here you will see Mommy and I trying to sit on top of the water on rafts to play with the toys.

Birthday Party Fun

Vera turns 1 !

Dear Elijah, 

Today, Papa, Mommy, you and Nonna all went to a birthday party.   Tobor's little girl, Vera, just turned 1 years old.   You had so much fun playing with the older 4 year old kids.  You, Aiden, Gracie all had such fun jumping in the Bouncy thing, playing with the water guns, eating lots of junk food.    You were so tired right before we left, that you almost fell asleep standing up drinking water.

Dear Elijah,
You are really doing well with potty training now.  Nonna told you to use your "Gun" and shoot the water in the potty.  You thought this was the coolest thing ever.  Now you actually look forward to using your gun (aka going potty)
