This was a wonderful morning
I sang you my favorite song in front of you and Papa. The song, "You make me so very happy, I'm so glad you game into my life", said all the perfect right words. I am so overjoyed to have you in my life. You are certainly a gift from God. As my first grandson, You will always have an extra special place in my heart.

Halloween 2011
Dear Elijah,
Mommy had to work, so Papa and Nonna took you around the whole neighborhood to trick-or-treat. You wore your Captain America costume and were so exited. We did a little photo shoot before we left so Mommy would have lots of picture to look at when she got home from work.
Papa took your little red wagon and you climbed in and out after every house. I thought it might be easier just to walk as the houses were close together. You, however, wanted to reserve as much energy so we could get to a "lot more houses".
I could tell when you were getting tired as you kept saying your bag was full, but every-time I asked you if you were tired you said no. Finally, we had to call it a night.
You came home and chose one piece of candy to have since it was almost bedtime. You then fell asleep shortly afterwards on your giant bear in the living room, and Papa had to carry you to bed. I was worried that after eating candy you would be up all night; nope, not you. Always the good boy.
We loved sharing this wonderful holiday and moment in your life with you. Always know that you are loved beyond measure my little man.

Great News
Dear Elijah,
Last night Nonna got onto her twitter account and sent Mommy J a message. I ended up talking between Mommy J and Mommy C and hopefully they have decided to join forces so that it makes it easier to co-parent you. You deserve all the best little man and I hope they can both see that the only way to make this a reality for you is to work together.

Behavior
Dear Elijah,
Last night you came home from Daddy's house in a little mood. You started off being disrespectful and not listening. This is really unusual behavior for you. We are not sure of the rules over there, but you certainly know our rules. Hopefully a good nights sleep is all you need. I can only pray that any frustrations about the divorce are not being said in front of you and that they hold you accountable for your behavior as well, in a positive way.
Hopefully some day, your parents will figure out how to handle all this divorce mess. They need to learn to put the past in the past. Your Mommy is doing good with this, but hopefully Daddy D & Mommy J will too.
I know it is hard being a child of a divorce. Going back and forth between houses with different sets of rules. I am going to try to teach you how to transverse through this kind of life, as I have raised two kids of a divorce and I have seen the struggles first hand.

| A great book I used when I went through my divorce. We are now 20+ years after the divorce, and Papa S and we are still good friends. It can work if your parents care enough. |
Our goal in this house is to have you grow up to be an upstanding young man, who is polite and well adjusted. Who can set goals in his life and achieve them. We want you to never have to struggle in life and we will help you get there. I love you beyond words, Little Man .... Love Nonna xoxo

One Day ...
Dear Elijah,
I can't wait untill you are older and I can tell you all about what Mommy has done to make a better life for you. Although your parents divorced, we all see now that it was the best thing for both of you, and truly a blessing from God.
Your Mommy has been able to move forward, forget the past and people that hurt her to find real happiness. Mommy is loved by many and has a lot of great friends now. In fact, many of her friends have little kids so you get lots of play dates.
To see how much happier Mommy is now is truly a gift. You are her whole life. Together the two of you will do great things in this lifetime...
Mommy also makes sure you are taught how to do chores to learn work discipline so when you grow up you will be successful at work.
She is also teaching you how to cook and bake. You love to help, and of course get the first taste ..
Mommy also realizes how important outdoor play time is so you are not just sitting in front of a TV or playing video games. She believes in you getting lots of fresh air and exercise to keep healthy.
